Sunday, 22nd May

Back from Cork, the next day was full of rehearsing with CKO, meeting some friends and finally studying. To start off, Tess and me took a very nice run out to Carton House and afterwards we met this lovely bunch for a late breakfast :)

That night, all exams were finally over and we had still loads of leftovers – time for another cheese&wine night we though… well, we actually ended up driving out to Carton House and taking sunset pictures instead but it was a lovely evening anyways 😀

Friday, 27th May

After some goodbyes on Tuesday and Wednesday already, it’s finally time for another goodbye party at my place. In similar manner like christmas, I invited all the great people and friends I met during my time in Maynooth, and asked everyone to bring something for a nice buffet. My part was making a homemade pizza just to make use of different left over food like flour, yeast, veggies and more. In the end, the pizza turned out to be our main savoury dish because many cakes and sweet things were brought along 😀 However, no one had to starve and we had another great evening remembering all the good times and making plans for reunions in the future.

Here’s to everybody involved in the party, the year in Maynooth or anything related – it was just great and even though I am writing so much about this time, I am missing words to describe how it feels to have had such an incredible exciting year. big thanks and huggs to everyone! <3

Thanks for the picture, Katie 😉

Monday, 29th May

After spending my final weekend with playing the CKO concert and packing most of my stuff, Corina and me take our last chance to get into Dublin and have a look around some places we still haven’t seen.

Starting at decent time Monday morning, we take the train into Dublin one last time and get off at Drumcondra already. Walking the last bit until today’s destination: Glasnevin Cemetery and the Botanical Gardens right next to it.
The views of the parks and cemetery are really impressing and sometimes even stunning. Luckily the sun is shining so we can enjoy all the beauty in its best state – and before I start looking for more words, just have a look yourself and enjoy the pictures:

Later that day, Johanna and me take some more walking and have a last look on the gorgeous nature at Carton House Park. I’ve been there many times, to walk, cycle, enjoy some peace and quiet, find out about some secret places or look for some more shades of Irish green… would love to go back there any time.

Tuesday, 31st May

I start my last full day in Maynooth with attending some recitals of third-year-music students from MU, amongst other Alex Petiet plays wonderful on his violin. I could not have asked for a better start in my last day since music was so important for me in Ireland… after that some final packing and Corina and me meet for an early dinner at O’Neills… the evening I spent with my great Irish family at home, just chatting and enjoying the last few hours together. 😀

The next morning it’s time to say goodbye but since this is not the last article, I will tell you this story another time.. :)
